Spoke Health was able to successfully prove their model with a pilot program with Novant Healthcare and was able to decrease their ortho costs by 30%, increase patient engagement 11x from 4 touch points to 46 all while achieving 98% patient satisfaction outcomes.

The Challenge
The Spoke Health founders came to us at the beginning of their journey with no existing technology but they had a well defined concept and detailed business requirements. They were looking for one technology partner that was capable of creating an enterprise-scale, HIPAA compliant MVP, soup-to-nuts.
The challenges include building HIPAA and HITRUST compliant technology and working with archaic legacy healthcare systems.

OUR PROCESS
The Solution
First and foremost we had to consider HIPAA compliance for every facet of this platform. The highest levels of security and privacy had to be managed and documented to store and transmit sensitive patient health data.
We built a robust admin portal for Spoke Administrators to manage thousands of clinics, hospitals and providers with itemized surgery component bundles and cost breakdowns. In addition, we built best-practice care-pathway management tools for Spoke Care Managers that automated most of the patient communication touch points that are highly configurable per patient journey based on specific patient needs or comorbidities. Customized automated workflow and communication tools would be critical to the success of guiding patients to positive health outcomes.
A Patient Web App was built for patients to shop for their health care options and securely communicate to their care coordinator via chat or video, as well as share documents and fill out medical forms or questionnaires.
